USPTO Free Online Trainings

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office offers a wealth of informational resources free to the public.

One of these valuable resources are known as SOaR training events (Stakeholder Offerings and Resources).

They are available to assist educate the public on various practices and procedures regarding patents and examination processes.

Some recent trainings offered advice and a live walkthrough on how to search like a patent examiner, as well as a three-step process on filing of a patent without the use of a representative attorney.

Whether you have interest in filing a patent yourself or would like to familiarize more about the patent process in general, I recommend you attend some of the virtual sessions offered by the USPTO when you are able.
